On the frontline: refocusing on Afghanistan

23 January 2013

The Frontline Club, London

It has been nearly 12 years since the US-led invasion of Afghanistan, and 2013 is set to be a defining year in the country’s recent history.  As large numbers of foreign troops begin to withdraw in an aim to meet the 2014 target, many are apprehensive about whether the Karzai administration can keep the country from slipping into civil war.

This event will forward to see what 2013 is likely to hold for Afghans and foreign troops stationed in the country.

It will be chaired by BBC Correspondent David Loyn.  Speakers include Afghan-American author Tamim Ansary,  author and journalist Christina Lamb.

Venue: 13 Norfolk Place,
London, W2 1JG
