Sale of Afghan crafts and gifts

01 December 2016 to 10 December 2016

Turquoise Mountain will be selling pieces of work by their artisans for the Christmas season at the Ishkar Pop-Up shop at The Koppel Project 93 Baker St, Marylebone, W1U 6RL from 1-10 December.

The beautiful pieces of pottery, wood, glass, carpets, jewellery and more, are handmade in Afghanistan by the artisans of Turquoise Mountain, a project started by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2006 to rebuild Kabul's historic Old City and revive its traditional craft industry.

Iskhar is a social enterprise run by two former members of Turquoise Mountain staff, and their success will be the success of the hundreds of Afghan artisans with whom they work - particularly if they can set up a viable social enterprise targeted at the UK and Europe.

Venue: The Koppel Project 93 Baker St, Marylebone, W1U 6RL

Time: Monday-Wednesday 7.30am-6.30pm and Thursday-Saturday 7.30am-10pm

Entry: Free.  The products on sale will range from £50-300.
