Where we work

BAAG's Member organisations work across a large number of Afghanistan's provinces.  Click on the provinces of the map below to see which organisations are present there and details of their programmes.

Some of our members - Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International UK, Child Soldiers International and Global Witness - operate on a nation-wide basis rather than in specific provinces.

PQEO - Provision of Quality Education for Orphans, Phase 3

The PQEO project is designed to provide quality education to impoverished orphan children at the Khoog Orphan ('Sweet home') School in Nanagarhar province. The Sweet home school is one of the modal schools in Jalalabad city.

  • The project supports provision of all required educational facilities to 478 enrolled orphan students, including education materials, stationary and equipment and uniform.
  • Out of the total number, 50 orphans are accommodated in the hostel as they come from remote conflict-affected areas and some of them don’t have any dependents.
  • Within the project IR constructed a two story building with the capacity of 100 children. The project is funded by OR USA.
